Drink Up

Maddcool! Product of the Freaks United created by designer Jorine Oosterhoff and Egbert-Jan Lam.

Art Deco - Typewriter Keyboard

Old school look for a current piece of technology. I've always loved typewriters for the "clack clack clack" sound it makes as you type. And now, I can finally get that sound for my computer.

Upwell Design: Downlow Seating

The new gamerseat. Time and time againI wish I could find a chair that was low to the ground so I could get into a more comfortable gaming position. A more slouched and relaxed position. This chair is the answer to that prayer. The chair comes via San Francisco's Upwell Design.

Steve Does My Talking

Steve Powers does my talking.
Anderson Horta designed Pac Man Lamps. I've been real addicted to this Namco classic, I even downloaded it onto my phone for 7 dollars. I don't know why but I just want to play pac man all day everyday.

So many fresh lamps comin out of everywhere, It'd be nice to get my hands on any one of them. But this one especially.

Ooh wee this lamp is certifiably undeniably fresh.

It's A Bloody Mess

Kouichi Okamoto designed blood lamps. Also come in grey, but these things are cool. It really just looks like an upside down bucket of paint. The lamp on the right is a lot cooler looking with that puddle right below it.

To be this creative would be such a delight.

Clever Ad

Bus ads are cooler all over the world than in Calgary. I mean seriously how many realtors are there in Calgary? And must you all take out ads on the bus benches? It's hard to trust a guy whose ad has been defecated by all the asses on top of it.

Port Authority

Antwerp's Port Authority building. It's a very unique design and it's very obvious what this building is for.

In selecting the architect an open call was made and a shortlist of five firms were chosen:
Consortium of TV A2O Architecten / Atelier Kempe Thill / Marcq & Roba / BEG from Hassel, Belgium
Vier Arquitectos from La Coruña, Spain
Xaveer De Geyter Architects from Brussels
Zaha Hadid Architects from London
Rapp + Rapp from Rotterdam.

The Zaha Adid firm was ultimately chosen to design the building.

Most of you know I am on the executive council for a Campus UNICEF. My position on said council? Why I am the Emperor of course. I run this shit.
HAHA

This is the Fade Lounger from Skram, a nu-modern rendition of the barcalounger. It's a bold statement piece in any room and a definate style magnate. But at a mean price of 3500$ at least, but hey it's available in 3 different finishes.

It's A Metaphor - The Fat Clown

Ron English and his McBuddy

A picture is worth a thousand pounds. This statue or Ronny Mac is a more accurate depiction of him this day and age. Ronald McDonald is FAT! Fat off of the over 99 billion served by the billion dollar franchise. Fat off our gluttony, his face is fat, his arms are fat, his legs are fat, let's not even talk how swollen his penis must be from all the fur burgers he's pulling in. Most of all his pockets are fat. It's funny how this clown is feeding his pockets while he' feeding us; and we just eat it up! We're all victims, we see the beautiful commercials with the uplifting music and the cool people eating Mickey Dee's. It doesn't matter the health risks associated with fast food, the sugar and the cholesterol. Who cares that obesity is a growing problem; diabetes? I don't want to sugar coat it, but it's a pretty sweet disease. The funny man is fat, he has us to thank. I'm never going to stop eating McDonalds, but this fast food thing....it's a tough thing to swallow. Ronny Mac is FAT! And so are the rest of us.

My Next Shelf

The Golden rectangle shelf. I mean I don't know why nobody has ever thought of this before now. Or maybe they have and this is just hte first time it's hit the blogosphere. For those who don't know this shelf makes use of Phi and the golden ratio (1.161 roughly). The ratio is everywhere and is quite a phenomena, for example measure your arm and then divide it by the length of your forearm and you get 1.61.

A Special Kind of Cup

These cups are a little silly. But I just like where the inspiration comes from. You take something disgusting like pollution and you turn into something functional.

It's a cool reinvention of the cup handle. Now you've eliminated the need for a saucer kudos!

The Weight Of Your Deuce

er no more how much your poop is weighing you down. Haikun Deng solves this condundrum by combining the greatest thing since sliced bread. The thing about being the greatest thing since sliced bread is that it never lives up to the hype but believe me this does. To be the greatest thing since sliced bread you need to be crafty and innovative. The guy who invented sliced bread didn't invent bread or slicing he just put it together and is no heralded as the measuring stick of innovation. Haikun didn't invent the toilet, nor did he invent the scale, he simply put them together. Introducing the weighing scale toilet seat:
